From 23 to 24 April 2026, the international conference entitled “The EU’s
7Ds: Cross-Party Perspectives and the China Dimension” was successfully held at
the Putuo Campus of East China Normal University. The conference was jointly
hosted by SIES and the Center for European Studies of the School of Politics
and International Relations at East China Normal University, and was supported
as a 2026 collaborative project of the Shanghai Federation of Social Science
Associations as well as partially funded by the European Union. Scholars from
universities and research institutes in China and Europe gathered to discuss
the internal political restructuring of the European Union amid transformations
in the global order and its implications for China-EU relations. (For detailed
